My Little Pony Blind Bags

As I’ve mentioned before, Blind Bags are usually just miniature versions of regular toys that come in a bag that you can’t see through so when you open them, you get a surprise! I’ve opened quite a few My Little Pony Blind Bags (13 so far) and they are fun. The kids like them a lot.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, I haven’t figured out how to ruin the surprise yet (See my Hot Wheels post), I’ve bought 13 so far and haven’t had any duplicates yet. That’s pretty good.

Cons: They are pretty small and the collections are kind of complicated. They don’t specify which collection you are buying on the outside of the bag, the only difference I’ve found so far is bag color. To be honest, on the first 6, I didn’t even notice the bags were a different color! Sometimes I’m not very observant though.

Would I buy again? I’m kind of “Meh” on these. The glitter collection (blue bags) are really cute but sometimes these blind bags are hard to find in stores and they are super expensive to buy online.

Hot Wheels Mystery Models

I’ve mentioned before that one of our favorite types of toys are “Blind Bags.” Blind Bags are just different types of toys, in a slightly smaller version (usually) that you can collect and try to find them all. The “Blind” part is that you can’t see what you’re getting until you open the bag. They are a ton of fun. Most kids love the surprise. I was at the store and I happened to see Hot Wheels blind bags for sale. I was so excited! My girls have so many toy cars, it’s a little ridiculous. I like to encourage them to not only play with “girly” things. So, that’s why I had to pick these up. They come with a full size Hot Wheel and a very large sticker of the car in the bag. Here’s the problem – on the outside of the bag, you can tell which car you’re getting. LAME!!!

Pros – The cars are pretty cool and the stickers are huge. You can avoid getting duplicate cars.

Cons – Complete false advertising! There is no Mystery whatsoever. That’s the fun of blind bags, being surprised with what you get.

Would I buy again? I don’t think so. Blind bags are fun for the surprise.
